Beef heart can be cooked either quickly over a high heat or slowly and gently, depending on how it is prepared.

It works particularly well:

• Sliced thinly and pan fried
• Grilled or barbecued
• Cut into strips for stir-fries
• Diced for stews and casseroles
• Slow cooked until tender
• Marinated before grilling or frying

For quicker cooking, slice thinly and avoid overcooking. For stews and casseroles, allow plenty of time for the meat to become tender.

Your order may arrive chilled or frozen, depending on availability. If chilled, please keep refrigerated and enjoy by the use-by date shown on the label.

If frozen, transfer to the freezer or allow to defrost slowly in the fridge. If your beef arrives partially defrosted, keep refrigerated and enjoy within 24 hours.
